Typically when you cannot see an object as expected in a view the issue is an incorrect visibility setting.
Revit roof not showing in section.
Also check the discipline setting for the callout view perhaps changing to coordination might do the trick.
Please note that your view might have a cut plane outside of a defined scope box which the grid lines are associated with.
Though from long autocad background i m creating a basic dormer with in a roof but the but the roof does not appear in the level.
Hi everyone my fist post and im quite new to revit.
Cut a new section elevation to inspect the vertical position of the grids are the missing grids associated with a scope box in the project.
Select the tag for the section or elevation with the missing levels or select the crop region within the affected view.
This process can help to isolate many crossover visibility issues that arise in phasing and family creation.
I can see the side walls and the walls that define the dormer but not the roof that should sit on the same view wither joining the walls or at the front south of the building.
If working in a version of revit prior to 2019 or if reviewing the levels in a 3d view does not resolve the issue.
The level that doesn t appear in a vertical view isn t so unusual and may be caused by some factors in this tutorial we are going to check all of them out.
Try to recreate the error in a new empty project.
Use this checklist to troubleshoot why objects are not visible in a view.
