You may feel the need to panic and wipe up the stain but resist that temptation.
Trouble removing your stain.
Soak a cotton rag with hydrogen peroxide.
Mix the three together in a small bowl until you make a thick paste.
After the dye is out wipe the area with warm water source.
If possible blot up some of the ink with a paper towel.
Place this on a smooth soft cloth and rub this on the area until the dye stain disappears.
Before resorting to sanding however start by trying to remove stains from wood floors using standard hydrogen peroxide available at drug stores.
If you can t remove one or the other perhaps the wood stain dye would at least hide the gel pen marks.
Step 1 blot the stain.
The procedure for removing dye that has penetrated the wood is similar to that for removing black water stains but after sanding off the finish use chlorine bleach to remove the dye.
The kind of toothpaste you use to brush your teeth should work just fine unless you use gel.
Be sure to neutralize the bleach with water before touching up the finish.
The result should then be sprayed and wiped onto the exposed surface of the floor.
Put some paste on a clean cloth and rub it on the stain until the stain disappears from the wood.
Drench a clean cloth in the solution you just mixed.
Scrape directly into a trash can if possible.
